John Vandervort
Sergeant
Sergeant Vandervort started his law enforcement career at the North Wilkesboro Police Department in December 1991.
Vandervort lived in the state of New Jersey before moving to North Wilkesboro in 1985. He graduated from Wilkes Central High School in 1987. The Sergeant began his work with North Wilkesboro as a part time officer and in 1993 he gained full time status.
In 1995 Vandervort was promoted to Sergeant and transferred to first shift where he is currently the shift supervisor. He also serves as the Fleet Manager for the department.
