The purpose of this section is to give the citizens of North Wilkesboro a general understanding of the work load that your Police Department handles on a yearly basis.
Field Training Program

The purpose of this policy is to provide new officers of the NWPD quality in the field training. For the purpose of this policy, officers will be classified as full-time or part-time. Officers will also be classified as rookie or experienced. The combination of classification for the officer will determined the amount of time an officer spends in training. The field training officers’ opinion of the officer’s progression will also play a part in the amount of time the officer spends in training.
